Hello. Welcome to my website. My name is Alan Cashman. I am a Sports Bettor/Handicapper. I am based out of Indianapolis.
Some of you may know me from "The Dan Dakich Show" on 107.5 out of Indianapolis, or "The OddsBreakers" podcast hosted by Kiev O'Neil, or maybe on "All Indiana Bets" as the College Football and College Basketball Expert on Saturday's during the season on WISH-TV.
I turned Sports Betting into a profession several years ago. I was already a successful small business owner at the time, but after having success in betting sports just off of my basic knowledge, I wanted to see how well I could do if I actually put work into this and did in depth research. I had immediate success , though I still admittedly had a lot to learn about how to bet on sports as a professional and some do's and don'ts of the industry to help to myself eventually become a true Professional at this. And I am still betting myself each year as I go. Learning should never stop.
I have now built an extensive client base across the US and even have several clients in foreign countries. I still consider myself a small business owner/operator though.
There are Naysayers out there who will ask "If you win money betting on sports then why you have to sell your Picks"? I love to address this statement. I wonder if anyone who has ever thought that way is successful at anything? In my opinion, that is the mentality of someone destined to lose at everything in life. My view on that is, if I can make additional income based on an ability that i have, why shouldn't I?
The loser mentality thinks you should give them something for nothing. I equate it to a mechanic who works 40 hours for an auto shop Mon-Fri. However, on the weekends, he works on neighbors cars out of his home garage. Is the mechanic to work on cars at home for free since he has a job working on cars during the week that he is being paid for? Of course he should be paid for his time and skill if he so chooses.
Now, when I started charging for my service, I looked around to see what others in this business were charging and what their rate of success was for the money they charged. I found a couple of things;
First, the rates some of these guys were charging were not affordable for the average working man
Second, I could not find any sort of verification or validation of their claims of success. I actually found that many if not most of the guys I was studying in the business were liars, frauds, cheats, that would say anything to get a good amount of money from people seeking honest, responsible gambling advice and these guys did not post any history of their Picks or Plays. You could not see their results until you paid them $300 or $400 for a Weekly or Monthly Subscription.
I did not want to be like those people.
I am confident in my ability and my approach. If I cannot earn your business by posting All of my results I need to either be better or find another line of work.
I don't want anyone to do business with me and feel they were ripped off, lied to, misled or encountered anything that makes you feel dirty after dealing with me. My goal was to show that you can be successful in this industry without lying and cheating other people.
So, over time, I found who I really was and who I wanted to be as Professional in the Sports Betting industry. I found my niche and what separates me from the guys I do not want to be associated with. Here are some of those things;
1. Transparency: No one should have to search for my results before deciding to do business with me. I update my Plays daily on my website https://thecashmanwins.com/pick-history .
Also, I post my Plays just before or just after a game starts on the Action Network. You can follow me there and view my profile via your mobile device https://t.co/bwt7pe7LZ8 . You can research me. You won't find an instance of any former client accusing me of being dishonest.
2. Discipline: Quality over Quantity. I think the Quantity approach to sports betting is lazy and guys guaranteeing you 5 Plays every day is a big red flag. There are not always multiple games on the schedule that have a clear edge that you should bet on. Someone that sends mass Picks daily is guessing on some of those games. I don't guess. Sports Betting is a science. It is not an exact science but a science nonetheless. There are some days I won't have ANY Picks. There will be days that I have 3 or 4 Picks. The schedule dictates what the Plays are. I have had many Clients thank me for showing them how to be disciplined when betting on sports.
3. Straight Forward Approach: I am not going to post pics of girls in bikinis along with my Plays. Sorry guys. There won't be any "5 Star Play of the Year" bullshi*. While you are at work doing your job, I am going to spend 8 to 10 hours most days doing my job trying to find us a game or 2 to each day to win money on. If I am successful, that is all I need to do. I shouldn't have to use the industry jargon and sound like an idiot while I do it. I am going to talk to you like an adult, tell you what I think about a game and I am going to tell you why I think we should bet this game. You can then decide if you agree with me.
4. Affordable: I think I am the most affordable, most bang for your buck guy with a reputation or following in the sports betting industry that you will find. You can see All Offers and Options on my website and decide for yourself https://thecashmanwins.com/subscribe . Many Plans average $1 to $2 per week. I am simply charging for my time.
I hope this gives you a little insight about me, my style and what to expect if you decide to entrust me with some of your Sports Betting advice.
I am very active on Twitter. You can follow me there @TheCashmanwins
I look forward to working with you.
Thank you
Alan
