US Open

Only 2 Golfers qualify for our System.  The are Clark at +194 and Stevens at +2700.  I cannot back Stevens as he had only 5 Sub 70 rounds, including this tournament, in his last 5 PGA events.

Burns had a good tournament here last year, a good tournament last week and off to a good start this weekend.  He is the favorite going into Saturday. However, you look at recent tournaments, he has put up several 70+ rounds.  I am going to pass on Burns for now.  I am going to take a stab at Jackson Suber at +1375.  He has shot a 66 and 65 in the first 2 rounds, and while he did shoot a 70 and 75 last 2 rounds last weekend, he had only two 70+ round the previous 10 rounds before that.

Very good first 3 rounds for Scheffler, starts the day 2 off of the lead.  What I like is Scheffler's good start.  That has been where he as struggled.  He's been good in later rounds, shooting 66 or better iin round 4 in each of his last 4 tournaments.  

Kim, the current leader, has shot 70 or worse in the final round of each of his last 3 tournaments.  He shot a 60 in round 2 to get this slim lead going into Sunday

Going to start off with Taylor at +900 to win.  Had a good start last week and faded but started even stronger this week.  Has had some good rounds but struggled with finishing.  

Also adding Putnam +1000.  Pretty good showing last year at the RBC after a round 1 70 in 2024.  A 68 and a 62 for the first 2 rounds this year

Saturday 

We have some wind impacting play.  Taylor , the leader going into Saturday, is the only Golfer that qualifies for our System of shooting 69 or better in each of the first 2 rounds.  

Scheffler also very much in the mix despite shooting a 70 on Thursday and Friday.   He won this tournament last year.  He is +175, and the current favorite to win.  

Scores are inconsistent and all over the place for this field.  Not going to do much else with this it does not look like.

Straka     +2200  Adding Straka.  Had a great round 2, the guys ahead of him are just hanging around even for the round.  A shot he could be -3 off of the lead going into Sunday after shooting a 66 Saturday.  Horrible first 2 rounds and he is still in it.

Saturday

Hard to go against Scheffler, especially after his performance at the CJ Cup/Byron Nelson event.  We usually do not go against him when he is in contention.

Fitzpatrick, along with Scheffler, qualifies for our System of shooting 69 or better in the each of the first 2 rounds of a tournament.  

Higgo at +7500 is -4 off of the lead, also qualifies but I have not seen consistency from him that would make me think he will sustain this pace.

As of Friday morning, I am really only feeling J. Thomas at +220, who is the current leader or Scheffler at +180 who is the favorite.   I am going to wait until later in the day on Friday or on Saturday morning to see what leader board looks like before deciding on LIVE picks

Last Week

DeChambeau at +330 is the only Golfer that qualifies for our system going into Saturday Rd 3 .   

Rory is the slight favorite at +320 right now.

Scheffler is in contention, 3 shots off of the lead, +360 to win.   

You can't feel bad about any of those 3.  I don't have a strong feel here and I am not going to guess so I have no action as of the start of Saturday

Bridgeman and Paul are the only 2 golfers that qualify for our System where golfers must shoot less than 70 in each of the first 2 rounds before selecting them on Saturday morning prior to round 3.   I'm not sure I want to back either.

Schauffele has not played particularly well but played well in this tournament last year and is in contention now, and the favorite at +500.   He will be only selection for me for now

Finau fell back a little as soon as I backed him on Saturday.  It will be tough for him to catch up.  I do not have a great feel for the rest of this field going into Sunday.   Gut says Henley.  He has shot 68 or better in the final round in each of his last 3 tournaments.
